How do I find out about pharmacy calculations involving solids?

Grams, milligrams, micrograms and pounds

Solids are typically measured in grams, milligrams, micrograms and pounds.
1 milligram (mg) is equivalent to 1000 micrograms
1 gram is equivalent to 1000 milligrams (mg)
454 grams are equivalent to 1 pound (lb)
1 ounce typically equals 30 grams
Therefore if you have a prescription calling for 2 ounces of an ointment you will receive a 60 gram tube.

Very helpful!! Didn't learn this when I went to school, either. Now, when I need to calculate micrograms of high vitamin K foods to avoid inter-action with medication, I can look at the above.
Thanks for the tip!!!!
